WA Country Builders
WA Country Builders commenced building in Bunbury in 1989, after researching the region and listening to the requests of people to increase their housing choice. It was decided to make Bunbury the first regional office from which to expand our ability to service country communities.
Managing director, Julian Walter was concerned that WA Country Builders should not be a city type operation that moves into the country and has no regard for the community in which they do business. It had to be an organisation that would take the good parts of a city operation such as choice, systems and technology and marry those back with a very much country culture. It was very important also to focus on putting back into the community what was spent from the region. Wherever and whenever possible, we support local community organisations, sporting clubs and charities. With the generous support of local trades and suppliers, we have built 5 Telethon Regional Homes and 4 Telethon Trek Homes and raised in excess of $4M.
Our team has been responsible for some pretty exciting projects around the state, including: Donnybrook Lifestyle Village, Royal Flying Doctor Service Charity Home; and the Geraldton Mariners Commercial Complex to name but a few.
This philosophy has resulted in enormous success— WA Country Builder’s is now Western Australia’s larg- est country builder with offices in Geraldton, Albany, Busselton, Northam, Bunbury and Dunsborough, servicing the community from as far away as Kalbarri to Mount Many Peaks east of Albany.
